- In rape cases, the victim is often believed to be the guilty party, facing accusations such as she was "dressed too slutty", "asking for it", or "deserved it"; the victim is also often accused of leading their attacker on, or of being a tease. As such, the concept of innocent until proven guilty is reversed in criminal cases such as rape.
